SportsPro has launched a year-round programme designed to recognise, support and advocate for a new era of gender equality and representation within the global sports industry.
Despite progress being made, there is still a small pool of regular female contributors to the global B2B sports industry conversation.
The NEW ERA programme is designed to widen and deepen this pool.
By leveraging our positioning at the centre of the industry conversation, SportsPro has put together a steering group of inspirational and accomplished women with unrivalled experience.
Representatives from the Rugby Football Union (RFU), Fifa, World Table Tennis (WTT), the Tennis Channel, the Olympic Channel, SailGP, GB Snowsport, the Milwaukee Bucks, the Six Nations, Activision Blizzard, ATP Media, as well as M&C Saatchi Sport & Entertainment will help guide a cohort of talented professionals.
A class of 12 successful female applicants will benefit from year-round editorial, event and networking opportunities, as well as dedicated coaching time with every member of the steering group.
We want to bring new ideas, underappreciated thinkers and future leaders to the forefront and elevate their profiles.
We will provide a global platform and ongoing community support. “SportsPro’s unique network of influence affords us the opportunity and responsibility to help shape the future landscape of the sports industry and empower the women who will steer it,” said Jon Abraham, SportsPro’s business operations and strategy director.
