FIFA 23 OTW will begin on Friday, September 30, 2022 , the same day as the game’s worldwide release date.
If FIFA 23 follows the same release strategy as FIFA 22 then players could expect Team 1 on September 30 and Team 2 a week later on October 7 .
Ones to Watch always tends to be the first major event of the year, and EA have confirmed that they will be following the same schedule yet again.
FIFA 23 OTW will award special live cards to players who have recently moved to a new club.
These dynamic items will go up in rating depending on how well the player performs for their club in real life.
Each time a Ones To Watch star is handed a TOTW after a top display in their domestic league, the card will increase in rating and stats to match the most recent one.
For example, in FIFA 22, Dayot Upamecano started out at an 82-rated card after his move to Bayern Munich.
But, by the end of the year, he was 87-rated and one of the best center-backs that the Bundesliga had to offer.
They will also receive an extra +1 boost for winning a certain number of matches after the promo begins.
This year the threshold has changed to three wins out of eight games from September 30 .
In FIFA 23, stars can also receive OTW upgrades during the World Cup.
Team of the Week will be paused when the World Cup commences.
However, if the national team of a OTW item wins a game, that OTW item is eligible for a one-time upgrade .
This holds true whether the player is playing or not involved with their national team squad.
