Clubs in the eight-team league can each protect 25 players who remain on the list until they are signed or released.

The Jackfish also announced Brian Essery will return for a fourth season on the field as manager and fifth overall.

COVID-19 cancelled the 2020 season.

Under Essery, the Jackfish have gone 65-43 in three seasons and advanced to the second round of the playoffs in all but one of them.

Falcons fly past Top Dogs A bye week didn’t hurt the Falcons, who resumed play in the Niagara Falls Short Mat Bowls Club by edging Top Dogs 17-15.

Defending champion Wavy Navy cruised past the Spitfires 27-8, while the Red Devils defeated Touchers 13-12.
