Sports

Northern tour: All Blacks XV v Ireland A.

Where: RDS Arena, Dublin.

When: 8.45am, Saturday.

Live coverage: on Sky Sport, live updates on Stuff.

Referee: Matthew Carley (England).

Roger Tuivasa-Sheck and Braydon Ennor will get another crack together in the midfield - this time for the All Blacks XV.

A week after lining up for the All Blacks against Japan in Tokyo, the pair will start against Ireland A in Dublin on Saturday morning (NZT).

The pair are two of eight capped All Blacks in the 23 for the All Blacks XV's historic first match, with Damian McKenzie, named to start in the No 10 jersey, amongst the group.

Blues lock Patrick Tuipulotu will captain the side, while veteran halfback TJ Perenara has been named vice-captain.

Tuipulotu and McKenzie were also with the All Blacks in Japan last week, providing cover as injuries mount.

With Billy Harmon joining the All Blacks in Wales ahead of their test on Sunday morning (NZT) after the loss of captain Sam Cane (cheekbone), Canterbury and Crusaders flanker Tom Christie, along with Highlander Andrew Makalio, has joined the All Blacks XV's wider squad.

Twelve-test All Black Luke Jacobson, one of seven Chiefs in the 23 - there are also seven Crusaders - will start at openside flanker. “With a short lead in to this first match, we’ve balanced out experience with younger rising talent.

The players are all out to showcase their immense skills and strength as a team, they’re excited to get this opportunity to play on an international scale and to represent New Zealand in what will be a proud moment for players and their whanau,” coach Leon MacDonald said.

While MacDonald is the coach, the All Blacks XV squad was picked by All Blacks coach Ian Foster and his selectors.
