Louis Blues got some reinforcement for one of their top forward lines Saturday with the activation of Pavel Buchnevich from injured reserve.
Buchevich, who scored the first Blues goal of the season in their opening win over Columbus, missed the next five games with a lower-body injury.
During that time the Blues won two more games, then lost the next three as the offense struggled.
Forward Brandon Saad also has been out for the last three games.
Buchnevich, 27, established career highs with 30 goals, 46 assists and 76 points last season, his first with St.
Louis.
In a corresponding move, the Blues assigned Josh Leivo to their AHL affiliate, the Springfield Thunderbirds.
The 29-year-old forward played in three of the Blues' first six games.
The Blues host the Montreal Canadiens on Saturday night.
