HEAVY DAMAGE was reported following a major fire in a rooftop restaurant in a commercial building in Lulla Nagar of the city area on Tuesday morning.
Fire Brigade officials said the firefighting apparatus, including the extinguishers and sprinklers at the establishment, were not working.
Around 8.15 am, the fire was reported at Vegeta restaurant on the seventh floor of Marvel Vista commercial building.
Six fire tenders from Pune Fire Brigade’s Kondhwa, and Gangadham fire stations were deployed for operations along with an additional fire tender from the Pune Metropolitan Regional Development Authority.

No casualties were reported as the restaurant was closed at the time of the fire,” said Fire Station Officer Sameer Shaikh.
