If you have what it takes to bring sight and sound together to tell a cohesive story and simplify, and remove any doubts for the end-user of a product, then you are the right match for our organization.
Social Stardom is looking for an efficient Video Editor who will be responsible for assembling recorded footage as well as to compile User Experience Footage of our Software Products, Demo/Explainer Videos explaining the product for remote audiences or using the footage to integrate within various Presentations.
This job entails creating a video out of content available and turning it into finished projects that match the leadership's vision and expectations.
Candidate needs to be flexible with their schedule, as urgent requirements may come up time-to-time, and require the need to work for long hours, and on weekends.
You must be a self-starter and, also have the ability to manage your schedule and time with perfection.
Learn to tell a magnificent story. Manipulate and edit film pieces in a way that appears seamless and natural to the audience. Take a brief to understand and grasp the production team's needs and specifications. Evaluate shooting script and original files to come up with a shot decision list according to the value of the scene. Trim footage segments and put together the sequence of the film. Input music, dialogues, graphics and effects. Create rough and final cuts. Ensure logical sequencing and smooth running. Consult with stakeholders from production to post-production process. Stay updated with the evolving editing technologies and industry best practices to increase work efficiency.
Qualities We're Looking for in the Ideal Candidate
Proven work experience as a video editor
Experience with digital technology and editing software packages (e.g. Adobe Premiere, After Effects, Illustrator) To be able to fulfil all the above-mentioned roles and responsibilities with the passion for telling a story and mesmerizing the audience Ability to manage time and consistently hit agreed-upon deadlines
Creative mind and storytelling skills
Excellent video editing ability with a strong portfolio
Thorough knowledge of timing, motivation, and continuity
Familiarity with special effects, 3D and compositing will be an added advantage. Ability to stay organized and collaborate within an online project management tool that is shared with the team. Great communications skills in English. A great team player, but also able to work independently.
