Fire broke out late Monday night The Westmoreland County coroner was called to the scene after a fire broke out in an apartment building in Greensburg Monday night.

The coroner confirmed to Pittsburgh's Action News 4 that a man died on scene.

The Westmoreland County Coroner identified the man as 40-year-old David M.

Bramini.

A cause and manner of death are pending autopsy and toxicology reports.

The fire was reported a little before 11:40 p.m. at Autumn Brook Apartments in the area of Indiana Avenue near Luzerne Street and Allegheny Street.

Firefighters spent hours on the scene, though there did not appear to be major damage from the outside of the structure.

Ronell Gray said he lives in the same building where the man died and described the fire. “A lot of smoke, didn’t see flames, just a bunch of smoke,” Ronell Gray said.

Gray said he got out of his place before firefighters entered the apartment. “Grabbed my child, my girl, my family and made sure we got out safe,” Gray said.

There was no initial word on the cause of the fire.
