NH State Police arrest a person in connection with investigation in area of Bennett Island New Hampshire State Police have arrested one person in connection with the ongoing criminal investigation in the area of Bennett Island on Bow Lake.
Police said the person was taken into custody without incident at about 1:40 a.m. on Saturday.
The person arrested was taken to the hospital for evaluation, but authorities did not explain why.
The identity of the person has not been shared.
State Police and the Rochester Police Department, along with local law enforcement agencies, began a criminal investigation in the towns of Northwood and Strafford Friday afternoon.
As a result of the ongoing investigation, there was significant police presence around Bow Lake on Friday.
Members of the public were asked to avoid the area.
Organizers of Saturday's Bow Lake Dam 15k/5K Race to Cure Cystic Fibrosis say the event was canceled because of the investigation.
