About the Authors
Patricia Barnes-Svarney is a nonfiction science and science-fiction writer. Over the past few decades, she has written or coauthored more than thirty-five books, including When the Earth Moves: Rogue Earthquakes, Tremors, and Aftershocks and the award-winning The New York Public Library Science Desk Reference , and she has written hundreds of magazine articles on science and sundry other subjects.
Thomas E.
Svarney is a scientist and naturalist.
His books, with Patricia Barnes-Svarney, include Visible Ink Press’ The Handy Geology Answer Book , The Handy Ocean Answer Book , The Handy Math Answer Book , and The Handy Nutrition Answer Book , along with several revisions, such as second editions of The Handy Biology Answer Book, The Handy Dinosaur Answer Book and The Handy Anatomy Answer Book .
