A 39-year-old woman is in a serious condition after being stabbed in the chest in the Hunter Region.
She was found with multiple injuries to her upper body when NSW Police were called to Woodberry this morning.
The woman has been airlifted to John Hunter Hospital in a serious condition.
A 37-year-old woman was arrested at the scene and has been taken to Raymond Terrace station where she is helping police with inquiries.
The two women know each other, police say.
