Victoria confirmed as the country's edtech hub; Melbourne to host EduTECH from 2021

In a keynote speech at the EduTECH International Congress and Expo, the Minister for Trade of Victoria, the Honorable Martin Pakula said Victoria has the right ingredients to kickstart the economic recovery of Australia and play a world-leading role in technology developments that'll drive the industrial revolution fourth.

He further announced that Melbourne will be hosting the EduTECH conference next year onwards.

Melbourne, edutech and EduTECH EduTECH International Congress and Expo is Australia's largest edtech technology exhibition which has been held in Sydney for the past 9 years.

From 2021, EduTECH will be hosted in Melbourne as it is rated as having the most number of education technology firms in the recently released New Zealand EdTech50 and HolonIQ, which is an annual list of the most groundbreaking educational technology start-ups across the region.

Melbourne, the state capital has the biggest chunk of edtech organizations in the ANZ EdTech 50, which comprises firms across the education sector as well as tech categories.

This is inclusive of Workforce & Skills, Education Management Analytics and Learning Environments.
